Bluefish sign 11

The Bluefish finally got around to announcing their first player acquisitions.

Among the 11 under contract is catcher John Nathans, who played part of 2005 with the Barnstormers. Nathans batted .215 with one homer and 11 RBIs in 52 games with the Bluefish and Newark Bears last season.

The marquee name in this group is pitcherAlbie Lopez, who played parts of 11 seasons in the big leagues. Shaun Boyd, a former No. 1 pick by the Cardinals, is also with the Fish.
