Jason 
Bowers has signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates and is playing for Double-A Altoona. According to one Barnstormers player, Bowers asked for his release from the Baltimore Orioles because they didn’t have a spot for the shortstop when he was ready to leave extended spring training. Bowers is 4-for-10 with three RBIs in three games with Altoona.
Bowers has four seasons of Triple-A experience. This is the first time he’s been in Double-A since 2002. I added him to the Where are they Now page.
