Jimmy Hurst isn’t coming to Lancaster.
The designated hitter was traded by the Barnstormers to the Schaumburg Flyers of the Northern League in exchange for two players to be named later.

Barnstormers manager Frank Klebe has been selected to manage the South Division All-Stars in the Atlantic League’s showcase event at Clipper Magazine Stadium on July 11.

AtlanticLeagueBaseball.com has updated its report on the Jimmy Hurst trade. It turns out the Winnipeg Goldeyes traded his rights to the Barnstormers and this press release was incorrect. So all of that vitriol directed at BASA this afternoon was a little misguided.

Clayton Andrews’ comeback is over.
The lefthander has decided to retire because of soreness in his pitching elbow. Andrews said he felt a dull ache throughout Monday night’s game and a sharp pain when he tried to throw his curveball.
