The Barnstormers try to snap their nine-game losing streak on the road. The last time they won away from Clipper Magazine Stadium was Game 2 of the Atlantic League championship series against Bridgeport. Andrews was roughed up for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings in his start against York Sunday. Robertson, who won 15 games for the Houston Astros in 2003, pitched five shutout innings against Somerset in his only start.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Bo Hart (2-for-4 with a two-run homer).

WHAT WENT RIGHT: Clayton Andrews was sharp. He allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings, but three of those came in the sixth when he was running out of gas. Andrews is rounding into game shape. If he pitches at the level manager Frank Klebe expects, the Barnstormers rotation will get a boost.

*Steve Van Note tied a team record with three doubles. The power is starting to come around slowly for the third baseman, who is hitting .298.

*Lance Burkhart smashed his fifth home run and continued to be an on-base machine. He drew three more walks to take over the team lead at 24.

*Mike Woods drew three walks while subbing for Quincy Foster in the leadoff spot. Woods’ on-base percentage is .475. For a speedster, that’s ridiculous.

*Dominick Ambrosini went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

*Eric Ackerman pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings. He has been phenomenal in the bullpen all season long. His ERA is now 2.92 in a whopping 24 2/3 innings.

*Ross Peeples and Derrick DePriest also pitched shutout innings.

*The Barnstormers have a very patient lineup. They drew nine more walks tonight and have drawn 21 in the past two games. They also beat a former big-league pitcher in Jeriome Robertson tonight.

*The Barnstormers ended their nine-game road losing streak and won for the eighth time in 12 games overall.

WHAT WENT WRONG: Reliever Jason Norderum couldn’t escape a bases-loaded jam in the sixth. He allowed a hit to Keith Reed and walked Javier Colina before being pulled.

*Chris Van Rossum went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.

*The Barnstormers remained six games back of Camden, which defeated Somerset 9-4 in 12 innings.
