Response to #67 -

Didn't see anyone here say that Kyle had an 'axe to grind' with the Barnstormers.

Apparently, the Barnstormers liked Kyle and gave him a shot at the 1st base position after Southern Maryland let him go. He didn't perform well here and that's a fact.

With Ian Bladergroen likely to be returning in and around the All Star break, Kyle would have been in a platooning role anyway, if the Barnstormers decided to keep him on the roster. We also have a much younger 24 year old Dave Adamchick (C/1B) to consider.

It was good for him to move on and play with Camden where they needed someone who could bat better than their current first baseman, Brett Bonvechio, at a 227 avg. His position there is most likely more stable than it would have been here in Lancaster.

Kyle may have found a home in Camden after being traded twice in the first half of the season. That in itself must be hard on an athlete no matter who they are.

Kyle Nichols did not have an 'axe to grind' even though he tried his best at Lancaster, PA and was unceremonously dumped. He still holds the record for homeruns in the California League with the Lancaster, CA JetHawks.
Good luck to the Barnstomers this year.

Juan didn't just do a Gochenauer's Appliance commercial that we don't know about did he? (The Gochenauer Curse)

Juan is a tough player and extremely spirited. Hopefully, he'll rebound quickly and be back in the line up soon. He had been doing so well offensively, too.

The boys are probably still quite tired from the road trip. When an athlete is tired and extends themselves physically, injuries can and do occur.

So get better, Juan!

Good game last night guys. I was listening to Dave on WLPA 1490 am. What an exciting second half!

Hey, what's up with Kyle Nichols!? The man comes back to the Clipp and just destroys it. Where was this Kyle when he was a Barnstormer?

Reminds me of the 1991 movie 'Hook' with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. The little boy pulled adult Peter Pan's face back and the wrinkles disappeared. Then the little boy says to Peter in a loving tone, "Oh, there you are Peter."

That's what it felt like last night... "Oh, there you are Kyle!"

You knew he had it in him, but...

Rad... How were the crab legs? momJB just loves crab legs to the max! If we go out for seafood, I know one item that wil be on her plate.

Okay Boys, let's do it again tonight.

Let's go Stormers!

(comment #28) Mark has been missing too? I guess I don't feel so guilty anymore.

I kind of got burned out on the Stormers for a few weeks. Following the Celts and interleague play held most of my attention. Losing my Adderol didn't help either.

I figure with Cullen at a 1.69 ERA and Cabrera at about the same, they should get some serious looks.

Sorry about that PTBNL. I thought you were traded.

Great game last night. It is hard to believe that Nichols can hit HR's. Sure did'nt do them as a Stormer. Hey it's Baseball Bingo tonight.

I feel another win.
