Stormers are …
11-3 in their last 14 games
22-21 under manager Tom Herr
5 games out of a playoff spot with 12 games to play (including suspended game)
Incidentally, the Revs are 12-14 under manager Andy Etchebarren.

Our playoff chances are very slim but I do think this run has been valuable. Even though Tommy Herr has his detractors, and I have probably been one of them from time to time, the turnaround under his management is impressive. He for the most part does not have a lot more talent than Von had for his time here but has gotten more out of them. With a strong focus on player procurement and some aggressive marketing I’m hopeful that we now have some momentum and can get back on track in 2010 both on the playing field and with attendance. PS: Let’s keep winning and hope someone ahead of us falters!
No surprise…tonight’s game is washed away…double header tomorrow. This off York’s web site:
The teams will play two 7-inning games, with the first game beginning at 5 p.m., and the second game beginning 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
No Friday night Baseball, No Friday Night Football. Guess I’ll have to ……go shopping!!!!!
Don’t worry, Syd… PM will wallop LS anyway!
Double Header today… Two wins would look awful nice for the Stormers!
Let’s go, guys, Show them what this team is capable of as we enter into the last week of the regular season.
It’s a long, long shot for playoff hopes, but are heart is still beating and we haven’t rolled over and died just yet.
I think the Patriots are the team to beat in the playoffs! Md. Blue Crabs have lost some key players and it surely is showing.

Yea, yea Dad.. PM sucked when we went to States. So it’s your turn now. I will be at the football game tonight cheering on the Pioneers… and listening to Dave on my lovely radio
Plans to go to York for Sat. DH didn’t work out … it does appear there will be a big crowd. Hope other Stormer fans are helping the Revs fill the house.
I am hoping York’s web videocast is still operational. Anyone know? Like to see some of the games.
I see on the York website that rhp Will Savage is pitching tonight for us in the second game….. from where and when did we pick him up….I havent seen this transaction anywhere. I am thinking this was a pitcher who came here via the Bill Bliss connections because Savage used to pitch for him in Williamsport or Batavia that I remember.
Good for Jason Cooper… He needed a big hit and got his first home run. Tie game at 1 -1 after three innings… Go Stormers!
One too many innings for Ben? Seemed to be losing command in 4th … and was saved by L.J. No such luck in the 5th. Walks opening innings come back to bite Two innings to rally back from 4-1 deficit. Been nice to see one of those rested arms in the top of the 5th. Realize it was only the 5th, but it is pull out all the stops time.
Way to go to Coop in the first game! He did need that big hit. Sorry to hear we couldn’t pull out game one.
