The Bridgeport Bluefish named their coaching staff Thursday. Former Stormers hitting coach Glenn Murray will take the same position with that club. Former Road Warrrios skipper Jeff Scott will serve as bench coach under manager Tommy John.

The Jose Offerman incident has taken another twist. Former Barnstormers C John Nathans plans to sue Offerman because of injuries Nathans suffered during an August incident when he was playing for the Bridgeport Bluefish.

The Joliet Jackhammers of the Northern League have named Wally Backman their new manager. Backman was the first person to interview for the Barnstormers’ vacancy in October. He was passed over in favor of Von Hayes.
