Baseball America recently published its indy league postseason awards. Two Atlantic League players, Newark’s Javier Colina and Bridgeport’s Jesse Hoorelbeke, were named first team all stars. Three others, including the Barnstormers’ Derrick DePriest, were chosen for the second team.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, former Barnstormers pitcher Matt Scheuing has signed with the Atlantic City Surf. Scheuing made 26 starts for the Barnstormers in 2005 — finishing 6-6 with a 5.29 ERA. The lefty, who graduated from Penn Manor High, pitched for the Road Warriors last season.

AtlanticLeagueBaseball.com is reporting that former Barnstormers outfielder Clyde Williams has signed with the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League. So the Barnstormers didn’t bring Williams back and they’re not getting anything in a trade to another Atlantic League team.

Josh Stevens has officially been re-acquired from the Nashua Pride in exchange for future considerations. Stevens went 2-0 with 2.63 ERA in two starts for the Barnstormers in September and was the winning pitcher in Game 2 of the team’s playoff series against Atlantic City.
