Matt LeCroy is one of the most accomplished players to ever sign with the Barnstormers. He spent parts of eight seasons in the big leagues, hitting 60 home runs in 476 games. He also played in 10 postseason games, including one start in the 2002 ALCS with the Twins.

Remember that Danny Gonzalez fellow? Well, he’s back on the Barnstormers. The shortstop made a surprise return to the team and actually played in today’s spring training game. The Barnstormers tied the Camden Riversharks 5-5 at Charlie Gehringer Field.

The Barnstormers had a three-hour afternoon practice today, which is unusually long by spring training standards. They worked on cut-off drills, rundowns and took two sets of batting practice – one against live pitching, one against the coaching staff.

It turns out Damian Moss is Reggie Taylor’s teammate with the Triple-A Richmond Braves. Moss, of course, signed with the Barnstormers in August, but never appeared in a game.
