The Barnstormers have made a change to their coaching staff.
Sam Snider, who was hired by the team in December, has left to join the York Revolution. Lancaster has named Charles “Boots” Day to be Snider’s replacement.

Scott Patterson made his spring-training debut for the Yankees against the Phillies today.
The righthander, wearing No. 70, pitched one-third of an inning. Coincidentally, he faced Phillies catcher Chris Coste. It was an interesting matchup because Coste — like Patterson — toiled in independent ball for years before finally getting his shot.

After testing the minor-league free agent waters, Scott Patterson has decided to re-sign with the Yankees. The former Barnstormers closer has been placed on the team’s 40-man roster, which puts him that much closer to the big leagues.

Scott Patterson is mortal after all. The righthander had his scoreless streak snapped during Trenton’s 4-3 loss to Portland Wednesday. Patterson, who was unscored upon in 17 2/3 innings prior to this outing, allowed two runs in 4 2/3 innings. His ERA is now 0.81.
